Albums Bought This Week
- Radiohead - Kid A: I’m not sure why I’ve never owned this album before. One of the best of the decade.
- Brand New - Daisy: It took a few listens to sink in, but I’m really enjoying it. It’s amazing for me to think that three albums ago these guys were just another Long Island screamo band. Now I’d put them closer to Modest Mouse.
- The Headlights - Wildlife: Not sure about this yet, listening to it for the first time now. The CD came with an Airheads candy though, which is why I’ll always love Polyvinyl.
- Owen - New Leaves: Mr. Kinsella went with more full compositions this time around, but the selling point will always be his voice (unless he puts out another American Football album). Ditto on the airheads.
- Volcano Choir - Unmap: First, if you don’t own Bon Iver’s LP yet, stop reading and get it now. As for this, it’s different. Vernon’s voice is used more like an instrument on Volcano Choir. It’s super chill, and fits in well at the office.
