Isaiah 40
I spent a lot of time reading Isaiah 40 today. If you’re looking for a chance to expand your view of God, and put yourself in your proper place, it’s a pretty great read.
Who has measured the Spirit of the Lord, or what man shows him his counsel? Whom did he consult, and who made him understand? Who taught him the path of justice, and taught him knowledge, and showed him the way of understanding? (13-14)
These are some pretty humbling questions to ask. It’s foolish to assume that from my limited perspective of reality I can determine how things should be. I try to put myself at the center of the universe so often. I’m glad Isaiah wrote us this reminder.
